If you’re going to be an effective healer and help your clients achieve the best results, you’ll want to keep an open mind during every session you do. This goes deeper than simply not focusing on anything in particular – read on for some helpful instructions about this.
Get out of your own head. When a client is working with you, it is time to focus on their feelings and their needs. Even if you’ve got a lot going on, a session is time to put your own needs aside and give the time and energy to the client. Take care of your own needs before beginning a session so you don’t have to interrupt to get a drink or use the restroom or anything like that. If a client pushes a “hot button” for you- or touches on an issue that is difficult for you personally, push your own thoughts and feelings aside for later when you have time to focus on helping yourself.
Leave your expectations at the door. A lot of the time, what you think is the underlying issue is, in fact, not even close to what is really going on. Trust the body to give you the answers you need. Don’t worry if what you find doesn’t make sense- just explain to the client that things aren’t always what they seem and that’s okay, the subconscious and the body are really in charge, not you.
Don’t project. You can have a powerful influence over the muscle testing answers you get, if your focus is strongly on one subject or another, or if you’re expecting to find something in particular. This is called projecting- don’t do it. Remember that everyone is different and even if two people both have depression, their respective emotional baggage will probably be different from one another. You have to be open in order to find the answers you need in order to help others.
Leave the Ego behind. This work is not about you, it’s not about me, and it’s not about being right, either! You’ll be on a learning journey as long as you’re working as a healer. Even the experts are wrong sometimes and this is okay!
Are you thinking of doing any of your sessions by proxy? This will save you time, effort and gas money, so take advantage!
Here are some tips to keep in mind when you start setting up to work by proxy. You might like it so much that you’ll decide to only work by proxy- that’s what our staff practitioners do because it’s so much more efficient.
1. Set up a specific time that works for you and the subject. It’s a good idea to designate certain working hours, just to make your life easier. For example, you may want hour hours to be from 5-8pm, Monday through Thursday or something similar.
2. Cluster book your sessions back to back, that way it frees up your day as much as possible. For example, if Jane books with you at 5pm, you could book Larry at 5:30. Then you’re free after that. If you book Larry at 7:30 though, you’re going to be stuck at home until his appointment is over.
3. Have your subject call you on the phone. Just like if you had a client coming into your office, it makes more sense. Trust me, I know.
4. Keep it short and efficient. When you’re first starting out, you can allow up to an hour, but then you’ll want to cut it down to about 20-30 minutes as you become more efficient at muscle testing and with The Emotion Code. Make it VERY clear to your subject that you have only the allotted time, and don’t go over this time.
If you haven’t started doing appointments yet, you will soon. Get excited, because it is awesome!
If you’re working with a client and an inherited Trapped Emotion shows up, you’ll definitely want to know how to explain this. In a nutshell, an inherited trapped emotion is simply a bit of emotional energy that is received from a parent at the moment of conception. It comes along with all the other DNA and physical material- in the egg if it’s from your mother and in the sperm if it’s from your father.
It’s important to distinguish the difference between “Inherited Emotions” and “Absorbed Emotions”. Inherited Trapped Emotions cannot become trapped at any point after you are conceived, just as you cannot inherit any genetic trait after you’ve already been conceived. After conception and at any other point in your life, you can absorb a trapped emotion from another person, but that is called an “Absorbed Emotion”. That is when someone else generates an emotion and you absorb that energy into your body. You will often need to identify if an emotion has been absorbed, but that is what the flowcharts are there for. Both inherited and absorbed emotions can become part of the Heart-Wall.
Inherited Trapped Emotions can go back multiple generations, so if you find an older one, keep in mind that many distant relatives may also have it. We used to think that we could only release Trapped Emotions directly up the line (i.e. father’s father’s mother). Now we know that we can release inherited emotions from anyone who has received that exact vibration. This means that you can potentially help many people at the same time while you’re also helping your client. What a perfect example of the ripple effect in motion!
I what to clear up a common misunderstanding people seem to have about surrogate testing and proxy testing.
The words have similar meanings, so I can understand why it can get confusing. Here’s the difference in 5 words- memorize it!
Surrogate: Extension cord Proxy: Distance
Surrogate testing is only used when the person you’re working on (the subject) is physically present, either touching or within a few feet of you (within the energy field). This type of testing is used when the subject is not testable. You can use self-testing if you’re working on them alone, OR you can plug in another person who is testable. All the muscle testing is done on the surrogate, still on behalf of the subject. The releasing of any emotions is still done on the subject because they are present. Think of surrogate testing like plugging in an extension cord- it’s pretty much the same thing, just with bodies instead of cords.
Proxy testing is used when you want to work on someone who is not physically near you. You can be the proxy yourself if you’re working alone, or you can have someone else become the proxy. All the muscle testing and the releasing of emotions is done on the proxy.
I hope this helps you to be clear on these two important concepts- the more you can educate your clients the better a practitioner you will be!
If you find yourself without a magnet or unable to use one, just use your hand! Your body naturally emits electromagnetic energy all the time- this is the makeup of your energy field.
All you have to do is focus a little harder or more clearly on what you’re intending to do, especially at first. So identify the Trapped Emotion you’re wanting to clear, then simply use your hand or two fingers and put that intention-to-release energy right into your client’s body, via the energy coming from your hand. It’s so simple, but it works great!
