About Life ReBalancing
WHAT IS LIFE REBALANCING? I have to say first, I’m not the most balanced person in the world. Just a few years ago, there were parts of my life that felt totally out of balance. However, armed with my background in meditation, and my desire to find something more in my life, I began to learn the art of rebalancing. I have come a long way and learned many methods from many teachers and I have to keep reminding myself just how much more balanced my life has become… I looked around and I noticed that there were many people that needed rebalancing in some part of their lives… Then it dawned on me that I could share some of the lessons I have learned about rebalancing in my life. We all know that we could each use a little work on finding a balance in our health, our minds, our emotions and our spiritual lives. Some people have a few of these areas in their life fairly well balanced. Many people have a great mastery of a few areas, but few people have them all working as well as they could. I had a vision that these 4 aspects of our lives are like the corners of a room… Take a few minutes now and come on an imaginary trip with me, just a few minutes really. I want you to consider, have you looked at your life as a whole?
The third corner is filled with all of the Emotional things you take into your heart, in a year… Your feelings about the way you are treated by others, maybe some emotional baggage from your past? Is it a just few suitcases of these past bad emotions, or are there a lot more baggage that you have deep inside. How much of the time are you feeling the good stuff? Like happiness, joy, friendship and peace. Do you spend enough time there, or do you spent more time with the tougher emotions like fear, anger, despair and resentment? If I told you you could learn to just feel better more, and let’s say it really worked, do you think feeling better could help your HEART feel more happy?
The final corner has all of your spiritual practices and beliefs about yourself, what you think your inner life is really about… In the last year, you went to yoga classes or to your church, or maybe both? Perhaps you reflected about the meaning of your life? Maybe you wondered if you had an impact on the world, or did it just go on as if you were not there?. In this corner you see the things you wanted to do to inspire yourself, camping or traveling for fun, but just didn’t have time for? Did you make time in your life for what your SOUL wants and needs… Just ask yourself, are you Happy with yourself? Or do you see that there is another side of you that would like to have some time just to reflect on life.
