About the film
The Call of the Flute: A Spiritual Journey to India and Nepal (60 minutes, 1987)
The film travels among Hindus, Christians, Buddhists, Jains, Sikhs. It visits the Golden Temple of Amritsar, a Kumbha Mela, the temples of Khajuraho, the Taj Mahal, the Ganges, the Panduranga temples of Bhadragiri and Pandharpur. In Kathmandu it watches the all-night Shivaratri festival at the Pashupatinath Temple. Along the way it meets rishis, holy men, Sathya Sai Baba, Mother Teresa. Sant Keshavadas is with us through much of the film, chanting at the temples, his devotion plain to see.
